Our family was asked to light the Advent Candle on the first Sunday in December. We were honored. We woke up early and prepared for the Celebration Service. Kaki and Bud love to come watch anything the boys participate in. All Morris and Thomas did was stand there and look cute, but they wouldn't have missed it.

Reading for the Advent Candle is such a special thing. I say on the side of our blog that we live our life through our faith. I don't talk about our faith daily on the blog, but Jared and I couldn't make it without our faith in God. We are blessed and hope to bless those around us.

I loved the words and passage we read:
Advent is the season in the Christian year when we hear and participate in the time of waiting for the
birth of the Messiah, and we look with hope for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The lighting of a candle each week marks our journey through the four weeks of Advent.
Our Scripture today comes from Jeremiah 33:14
"The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel
and the house of Judah."
If we are alert to the prophecies and the promises of the Lord and live in the light of hope, we will be truly blessed as Christ comes again into our lives.
Today we light the CANDLE OF HOPE.
May Jesus Christ, the MESSIAH, fill your heart with HOPE.
