Christmas Eve was a blast for the Gladdens in Gadsden. Bud, Kaki, Grand, and Pop all came over for Christmas Eve dinner and then to church for the candlelight service. Our time at home was full of laughter and joy. We spent time trying to get a picture of each family with Morris and Thomas... always entertaining. Some pictures were good some just acceptable, but we did get pictures. We spent time around the
dining room table eating, drinking, and being merry. Morris and Kaki also spent time dancing with the five foot Santa in the family room. In typical Amy and Jared fashion, we quickly threw the boys in the car and rushed to church. We made it there on time with only minutes to spare. I always love how we symbolize lighting our candle as our light for Christ is to shine into the world. I also love to watch the light in Morris' eyes shine while we sing Silent Night with our candle. It reminds me when God says we are supposed to have faith like a child. - After the service we headed home to swap presents with Kaki and Bud. All Morris has really wanted for Christmas is a train table. He told Santa, Kaki, Bud, Grand, Pop, Mommy, Daddy, anyone that would listen knew that Morris wanted a train table. I couldn't wait for him to see what Kaki and Bud were surprising Morris with... A TRAIN TABLE! Not only a train table, but the entire costume to wear: engineers hat,
vest, tools, the works... Morris was so excited he could hardly contain himself. By the time we finished opening gifts and celebrating it was 8:30 and past Morris and Thomas' bedtime. We tried getting Morris to lay down without much luck. We knew it would take some bribing and convincing. Jared and Bud took the train table upstairs and allowed Morris to unpack all the trains. This little bit seemed to make him happy. We were then able to tuck our boys in tight and wait on the arrival of Santa...
