Sunday night (12/11) was an adventurous night for the Gladdens in Gadsden. The fun all started around 4:30pm with a 911 phone call. Most Sunday nights we go to Kaki and Buds for supper. Morris and Bud grill on the Big Green Egg and we just enjoy visiting. We thought this Sunday night would be no different. We were very wrong. When we pulled up to Kaki's house, Jared hopped out of the truck leaving Louis inside. Jared was going to move a few things around and get some things out of the garage. Our very talented and gifted dog locked the doors. Jared, Bud, and Morris went into a panic. They tried to talk Louis into unlocking the doors by kn

ocking on the window and doing every trick in the book. Finally they decided to call 911 because Kaki and Bud's driveway is a steep incline and the truck was pointing down without the parkig break on. The 911 operator told them she would send out the police cheif. How much more embarrasing could things get... Jared, Bud, and Morris once again headed out to try and force Louis to unlock the doors (Can you picture two grown men talking through the window at the dog trying to get him to unlock a door? CRAZY!!!) As they walked back outside, Bud went into a fre

nzy, a panic, a joyous excitement. Louis had rolled down a window... gifted dog! Jared was able to stick his arm in and unlock the door. Again, 911 was called to cancel the police chief! Yes, that is our crazy family. - After a peaceful dinner, Morris and Thomas game home to a huge surprise... Sitting beside our back door was a package and note. It listed many details and was signed by one of Santa's friends, Sparkleberry. Sparkleberry told us he was sent by Santa Claus to watch Morris and Thomas on the days leading up to Christmas. He talked of his magic powers, how he would move around the house, and especially how he was never to be touched. Both boy

s went to bed with dreams of magic and excitement filling the air. So much excitement, that Morris was up every 30 minutes waiting on Sparkleberry to move. Needless to say Jared and I are exhausted. We hope the Morris calms down about Sparkleberry and we are able to start a new tradition. Sparkleberry has many game and antics he will be up to over the next few weeks if the boys can find their composure... Wish us luck!!!
