I don't really even know where to begin this post. Auburn's homecoming was amazing for our family. The anticipation had been building for weeks. No it wasn't a big game, we weren't rumored to be national champions again, but the activities that surrounded our family were very special for one almost three year old little boy, Morris. On Friday night, Auburn does a small parade downtown for kids, families, and students. Jared and Morris walked downtown early to have a good place on the parade route. As they were finding their spot, who else appeared but Morris' favorite tiger, Aubie. Aubie was kind enough and took a minute to take a picture with Morris. Morris adores Aubie and couldn't wait to take his picture. Morris stood and watche

d everyone in the parade: Aubie, firetrucks, the Auburn marching band, all things orange and blue. I forgot and the only stroller I brought was Thomas' small stroller. Morris didn't mind. He climbed right in and kept warm while watching and cheering with Samford Hall as a backdrop. Friday night was just the start to a wonderful Saturday. - Saturday morning started with a usual bang. Everyone was awake by 6am. The cheering started, going to get Daylight Donuts, and then there was morning band practice. Band practice was a little different then normal because it was the Auburn Alumni band performing for halftime. Jared, daddy, and Morris spent much longer then normal that morning at band practice. Morris had a great time. Jared had to hustle him home for a quick nap before gametime. We all knew what was c

oming and we didn't want Morris to be overly tired. - During the game, anticipation grew as halftime approached. Morris still didn't know what was going to happen... Morris was beyond excited when Jared and Bud told him he was going onto the field for halftime. The memories made that day are endless. Morris once again got to play with Aubie and the Samford bulldog. He watched on the sidelines as the band played the fight song and the "dancing girls" threw their batons high in the air. Morris is still talking about the day he went into Jordan-Hare Stadium and was able to walk onto Pat Dye field. Morris is a lucky little Auburn boy... WAR EAGLE from Morris! ** Where was Thomas you might ask, inside the condo with an ear infection! He hopes to be able to join Morris on the field next year.**
