The Christmas Parade was a lot of fun this year, but very cold. I had debated all day if we would take Morris to the parade or just stay home. I am so glad we went... Our friends from out of town came, Meredith and Emily, and of course Miller came with Claire and Luke. Morris and Miller are like each others comfort blanket. When they travel together they are secure and quickly turn into two "wild boys"! Since it was freezing, Bud kept
Gadsden Music open the entire time so that the kids could run back and forth from outside to inside. Morris had a few must see items: horses, fire truck, bands, and dancing girls! The horses arrived first... Morris,
Miller, and Emily's eyes gleamed with joy. They watched them carefully, didn't want to get too close, and then started to shake their booty's as they could hear the band in the distance. Even though we went to the parade last year, Morris was in his stroller and not very mobile... This year the children were dancing, laughing, and having a blast! We could see the joy in their face. Due to the freezing cold and it being almost eight o'clock we decided it was time for Morris to head home. Miller also decided it was time to go home. We tried to wait and see the big surprise at the end of the pa
rade... SANTA! We knew it was going to be a special night because Santa rides high atop a firetruck. Santa's plan was to get off the firetruck at Gadsden Music and see the kids. Why Gadsden Music and why our children? Shh.... Santa has a little secret... He is Emily's grandaddy and Emily doesn't know it! Needless to say, Emily stayed the entire time! Bud said it was a very special event. Santa came down from his sleigh/firetruck and walked right over to Emily. He gave her a ho, ho, ho, picked her up, and once again got back on his sleigh to visit the other boys and girls! I hate that Morris and Miller were not able to stay and visit with Santa... maybe next year. Santa, we will be back at Gadsden Music anxiously waiting your arrival at the 2011 Christmas Parade!
