The days leading up to Easter have been the same as always except a little different this year. We did our normal activities... Palm Sunday, Dying
Easter Eggs, Playing with the Easter Bunny... normal things, but all different with two children. - It is funny because I am tied to an every two to three hour schedule nursing Thomas. That means that I often send Morris and Jared out to do an activity that normally we would have all done together. Last Sunday Morris and Jared went to church for Palm Sunday. Our church did a great activity this year where they brought in animals, palms, ate hot-cross-buns, and included all the Downtown "First" Churches... Morris was so excited to go to church and see all the animals, but especially "the donkey". He loves animals and the donkey had peeked his interested. Morris wore his pre-Easter outfit and had a wonderful time. He enjoyed every minute of Palm Sunday.
Jared said he walked around and loved on every animal, except the goat. The goat always seems to scare him. - On Friday, Claire invited us over to dye Easter Eggs. In true Miller and Morris fashion, they were a riot. They rode on Miller's Gator, they both covered their lips with chap stick, they drug out every inside and outside toy of Miller's, Morris tee-teed Miller's potty... when I say they did it all, they did it all. They were so excited to dye the eggs. Morris ran around telling us all what he was going to do. Morris wore a nice outfit over to Miller's. We decided that it was best if he stripped down to his
diaper to dye eggs. He did not seem to care one bit, nor did Miller. While the eggs were turning colors, I thought it would be a good idea if the boys stirred the eggs. Of course Miller and Morris agreed with me and thought it was a wonderful idea. While stirring, Miller spilled the yellow and it went all over the kitchen. That was the end of the eggs... Claire and I finished up while Casey and Jared monitored the boys. - Saturday was the big church Easter Egg Hunt that we attend every year. It is always tons of fun, but normally hot. It was a blistering 86 degrees in Alabama yesterday and the ki
ds were hot looking for eggs. The heat didn't seem to slow them down when they saw there was candy hidden in many of the eggs. Morris loved hunting eggs and loving on the Easter Bunny. All of our Pre-Easter activities were wonderful. It was the same as always... Morris running around, our family having fun... but it was also different... we continue to master the challenges of being a family of four, Thomas and I not being able to go everywhere... We are loving our life of four and all the new things we are experiencing.
