Dying Easters eggs is always fun. Morris has enjoyed it since his first Easter. It was extra special this year, because Thomas was dying eggs in a "happy birthday" outfit. Not only were we preparing our house for Easter, but we were preparing to celebrate a first birthday.
The boys had a great time. Morris would dye an egg and Thomas would quickly break it. There was sibling tension even at 3 years old and 1 year old. Thomas thought the dyed eggs were beautiful and had to hold them. Not knowing, he would drop a treasured egg and it would break. Out of the 12 dyed eggs, we maybe had 9 survivors.
Although we had few eggs survive, the most successful event was that our counters were not ruined. Our new house has Alabama Marble counter tops. After egg dying, I am proud to announce... the counter is still white!
