Easter was only a little over a month ago and it seems like ages ago. So much has happened in that short time span. Reflecting over the days leading up to Easter I can see how much the boys have changed.
The Thursday before Easter was fun for Morris and Thomas. Morris and Jared headed out to school for Doughnuts with Dad. In the past, this event has not always gone well for Morris. He is always very excited for Jared to visit school, but isn't always excited for Jared to leave... also known as crying! Jared going to school is not the typical routine and Morris is structure and routine driven. Luckily, Doughnuts for Dad 2012 was a success. Morris was happy to show daddy off to his classmates.
After Doughnuts with Dad, it was time for our class Easter party. Can you say, sugar high?!?
All the mothers arrived with candy stuffed eggs, sweet treats, and all the goodies you can imagine. The kids went upstairs to hunt for eggs. Morris was ready. One of our daily activities leading up to Easter was egg hunting. Kaki and I would hide the eggs all over the house and Morris LOVED hunting them.
I think the kids were shocked when Morris had looted most of the eggs. Not me, that boy knows how to hunt when candy is involved. Not only did he have tons of eggs, it was like he knew which eggs were the best. We were so proud of him, ha!
When Morris turned his head we donated candy to the other children. That's my Morris... a stingy, candy lovin', three year old boy!
