On Monday, January 24, 2011, Jared and I officially closed on our new house, 259. We are beyond excited about 259 and our future there. 259 is the house of our (my) dreams. 259 needs a lot of love and updating but it is a great house with amazing potential. Jared knows that I see the potential so that is why it is the house of "our" dreams. - The house was built in 1968 and we are the second owner. The family that built the house was still living there. Construction work officially started on the house Monday, January 31st. We are only doing minor things since Jared and I have not sold our current house, 114. - 259 has a funny story behind it and how Jared and I came to love the house. For years when I was growing up, my mother would ride my dad and I by this house and said it was her dream house, her future house, where she saw her and my dad growing old. Well, the house never came on the market... When they were ready to move about three years ago, my parents bought another house and took on a huge renovation project. My mother let the house she thought was her dream house go away. After Jared and I decided to move home, we bought a house on other side of the circle, 114. The funny thing is 114 and 259 have connecting backyards. As we lived here, I also feel in love with 259. I guess you never know how life is going to change and turn, but two years down the road... my mothers dream house turned into my dream house and now Jared and I are the proud owners of 259!
