A Sprinkle for Thomas

On Saturday morning mother hosted a Sprinkle for Thomas at her house just for family. We debated for months how to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Thomas. I few of mother's friends offered to host a shower, but we had the big traditional baby shower with Morris. Although I wanted Thomas to also have a special event, I did not want to have a large traditional shower. We decided on a Sprinkle that was just for family. It turned out that the Sprinkle was the perfect event. All of the women and children gathered at mother's house Saturday morning to toast and celebrate the upcoming arrival of Thomas. Mother made a delicious spread of food for everyone: breakfast casserole, hash brown casserole, grape salad, blueberry muffins, and mini-blue moon cupcakes. Everything turned out delicious. The only funny happening was her punch turned out green. She knew it would be a light lime color when she made it... well, turns out it was bright green. Oh well, it tasted delicious. The color did not effect the taste and that was all that mattered. It was nice that the group was small. We enjoyed sitting around, eating, and talking to one another. The Sprinkle had an intimate feeling that was warm and welcoming. We giggled that the children, Morris, Jack, and Ann Shepard, had as much fun as the adults. Morris mostly ran around wild the entire time. He showed them every toy he has at Kaki's house. He was proud to get out his work bench, wagon, books, Mr. Potato Head... anything he could think of. What did Morris want for lunch: cupcakes and candy. What was I to do... I was not going to cause a scene at Thomas' Sprinkle. So, yes, we have that child that other people talk about. It's a good thing Morris is cute, because sometimes his wild behavior is not too cute! Thomas received beautiful gifts from his family. We had a great time celebrating and are now ready for Thomas to arrive... seven more weeks!
