My Auburn... After hearing about the Toomer's Corner Tree situation yesterday, I needed time to collect my thought and reflect on "My Auburn". To me... Auburn is about so much more than a tree. Yes, Toomer's Corner is a special place, a magical place, a place that once you have seen it, you will always remember, but Toomer's Corner is not the defining element to me of what being an Auburn Woman means. Whomever made the hasty decision to "poison" our tree, made a very poor decision. Yet, I am not going to let their poor judgement affect everything that has defined what it means to be an Auburn Man or Woman. The Plains, as Auburn Alumni refer to our town, is a place of academia, beauty, grace, memories, and love. Many of us fell in love with Auburn as children. We went to football games, we rolled the tree, we listened to the band play, and we chanted War Eagle until we lost our voice... While many people feel in love with Auburn as students. Auburn is a place where glory days are made and lived out to the fullest. Auburn is the place where you learn what it means to "believe in Auburn and love it"! People wh
