Morris started swim lessons with Miller on Tuesday. Our "coaches" are two of our family friends, Paige and Susan... dental students during the spring/fall... swim coaches in the summer. They were both very patient with the boys. We did not know how teaching two wild things under the age of two would go. We started early hoping for our best results in the morning. Morris and Miller were in the pool around 10:15 warming up. Warm up is simply putting on our flotation devices without crying. The flotation devices were a huge success. They are normally positive about wearing their "frog and shark", but you just never know. We then did some simple play time with buckets, shovels, balls... Paige and Susan announced it was time to get down to business and swim in the big pool. Morris and Miller were supposed to kick their feet, dog paddle, and blow bubbles in the water. They both did wonderful. Paige and Susan were even daring enough to try and take off the arm floats. Morris and Miller felt free and did their best swimming. After a hard 15 minutes of swimming, both boys were tired and needed their pacifier. We were back to the baby pool to play with our toys. Paige and Susan were kind, patient, and caring with our sweet boys. Our coaches said Morris and Miller were two fish in the water... they are even willing to teach them again on Thursday. In a few days, we might not even need floats, ha!
Welcome to The Gladdens in Gadsden... We are a family of four (Jared, Amy, Morris, and Thomas), plus our dog, Louis. We rely on our faith in God and our strength in each other to get us through each day. I hope you follow us on our wild journey that we call our life.
Awww how cute! Paige and Susan will do a great job with them!
