Beach Humor

Morris always thinks he is funny. He laughs at himself all the time. While we were at the beach, Morris turned into a real clown. His clownish behavior was only small things, but oh how the small things kept us entertained. It all started with the beach high chair. He used a new high chair. We borrowed the high chair from Grand and Pop. It is just the basic booster seat with a high chair top. Morris loved when we would leave off the top. He would prop his feet on the table and laugh... When I would say feet down, he would just look at me and giggle. I knew that we were encouraging a bad habit... when we went to the beach wedding, he propped his feet on the table. Morris has always enjoyed eating. At the beach he enjoyed a new delicacy, sand. We told him repeatedly NOT to eat the sand. He proceed to munch on it. I think he liked the sound the sand made crunching in between his teeth. It was crazy. The more I told him no and nasty; the more he wanted to eat it. Since Morris ate pounds of sand, he was always thirsty. He figured out that our chairs had a cup holder. The holder was in just the right place for him to walk up and drink out off it. If you handed Morris the cup, he had nothing to do with it. The cup had to be placed in the holder. Sometimes that meant digging the chair deeper into the sand. As long as Morris could drink his juice from the cup in the cup holder, he was happy. Morris made us laugh the entire trip. From wanting to be buried in the sand to always propping his feet on the table, he was a mess. Every experience was new and exciting and Morris laughed throughout the week.
