16 Months

Morris was 16 months old on Monday. I think 15 months has been one of my favorite times with Morris. He is learning and absorbing everything around him... this can be good and bad.

A few of the great things Morris has learned this month...

• He is walking 100% of the time. When I try to hold his hand, he pushes it away and says, "NO". Occasionally, he will say hold and put out his hand for me. He only does this to walk up steps or go over a ledge.


• Woof, Moo, and Tweet... are a few of the animal sounds that Morris mimics. If you ask him what a dog, cow, or bird sounds like, he can make the correct sound 80% of the time. It is really cute when he looks out the window to tweet, tweet.


• Morris has a music box attached to his crib. He figured out how to wind it a few days ago. Now, instead of waking up to crying we hear a beautiful tune.


• Morris started exercising this month. We go to Baby Fit on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He loves riding around in the stroller for an hour while I exercise. When I ask if he is ready to exercise, he walks to the front door.

What naughty/funny things has Morris learned this month...

• Jared adores candy. Morris now asks for candy. He even says the word and points to the jar. Needless to say, I have hid the M&M's. The only good side is... I may can use candy to help potty train him.
  
• He loves to shake his booty. Morris will turn on the music and twist away. He will even do it when we are not watching.
• Morris loves our keys... He asks for them constantly. It is not the keys specifically that he loves, but the beeping the car makes when the lock button is pushed. He pushes the button over and over and over and over. He smiles and giggles... it is such a naughty smile when he does it. He can be so mischievous.

Morris is a wonderful little boy. We love him so much. He is growing everyday and the memories are sweeter than ever... love you...
