Ha, school was out for summer. The Mother's Day Out program that Morris attends was out for five weeks of summer break. It was a long... five weeks. We had a great time during those five weeks: going to the beach, swimming at the pool, playing at the park, going to the movies, but those days of fun are over!! School is back in session.
Thomas officially started Mother's Day Out on Tuesday. Having both boys go on Tuesday for four hours allows me the opportunity to run errands, tidy up at home, and just have some me time. They don't go to school everyday, just enough to stay in a school routine.
We were a little nervous how Thomas' first day at school would go. Thomas is attached to me. He is a happy, smiley boy, but he loves his momma. Ms. Gwen and Ms. Suzi were aware of Thomas and his emotional attachment to momma. They were great with him. They informed me that Thomas is spoiled and loves to be carried around! That, was no shocker. Thomas did a little crying, a lot of pouting, but ended up having a successful first day.
