4 Months

Our summer has been absolutely wild... I have fallen behind on blogging, picture albums, life in general... With Morris back in school, it is time to get with the program. - Thomas was four months old on August 8th. Here are the facts: weight 17lbs and 4 ounces (97th percentile) and height 25 inches (40th percentile). Thomas is growing fast, so very fast. The other day I called him a newborn and mother quickly corrected me and said he is now just a baby. He is wearing 6 and 9 month clothing so calling him a newborn was funny. I don't remember Morris growing this fast, but I am sure he did. Thomas continues to be a joy.

  • He smiles and "talks" all day.

  • He consistently sleeps through the night. We lay him down around 8pm and he occasionally wakes up to eat at 4am, but normally sleeps until around 5:30 or 6am. - Don't think we are perfect. We still have bad nights. Last night he "talked" in his bed from 4am-6am and Morris woke up at 5:30am, ugh!

  • As of last week, we have officially finished nursing. We have changed to soy formula. Thomas is typically a good boy eating his formula. The problem is that he wants for me to feed him. He will take the bottle from Kaki, Bud, and Jared, but this boy loves his momma and prefers me.

  • Doctor Rick said that we could start rice cereal and level one fruit and vegetables. I have bought both but have not worked my courage up yet.

  • One of Thomas' favorite activities is when I get out the Baby Bjorn. I wear it all the time when we are shopping... Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, any place that I have to push a buggy. I used to laugh at people when they wore the Baby Bjorn. People told me not to laugh that when you have two kids it is a necessity. Well, I am a Baby Bjorn wearing fool... I might look goofy, but Thomas loves it.

  • Most of all Thomas is mesmerized by Morris. He watches him all day. They love to take a bath together, watch Disney, play outside (Morris running around - Thomas watching him in his nap-nanny), cook (Morris helping - Thomas on the counter in his bumbo). The other morning Morris announced that Thomas was his best friend. Even though I think it is funny that I have two boys, I am glad that they will be best friends...
