On Saturday, June 11, 2011, Morris was in his first wedding. Morris was so excited to be the Bible Boy in Emmy and Matt's wedding. Emmy gave Morris a special Bible that she ordered from Jerusalem. The front of the bible is made out of wood from the Holy Land. - For many months we had been talking to Morris about Emmy's wedding and what his role would be. He would walk up and down our long hallway at home and carry his Bible. We were sure when we arrived for the rehearsal at the c

hurch there would be no problems. There were just a few simple rules to follow. Hold Shelby's hand down the aisle, hold your Bible, and walk straight to mommy. At the rehearsal... our little angel did AMAZING! He followed all the rules and looked so cute while walking with his cousin, Shelby. - On Saturday, we were a little stressed even though we had a perfect Bible Boy on rehearsal night. Morris had to arrive at the church at 1:00 pm. Ugh, 1:00 pm is right at naptime. Anyone with a toddler knows that you can't mess with naptime. We laid Morris down early for his nap and luckily he woke up bright, cheery, and ready to walk down the aisle. - Everything went smoothly at pictures and the waiting went very easy.... until... The bridal party had to wait around 30 minutes in a hot stairwell before it was time to walk down the aisle. 30 minutes in the eyes of a toddler is like trying to keep them still for 3 hours. Jared ended up havin
g to "bribe" Morris. Jared promised Morris that if he walked down the aisle, he could have a toy from W

alMart. Morris walked down the aisle holding his Bible perfectly. The problem... when he sat down with me he announced LOUDLY... "I walk down the aisle... I hold her hand... Daddy said I can have a toy!" Needless to say, Morris was quickly escorted out of the ceremony. -Emmy and Matt's wedding was a truly special day. Morris just added some extra flare!
