German Pork Chops

German Pork Chops are a Kaki specialty. We always forget about making them, and then when we do... delicious! The recipe is easy and tasty. The sweet and sour combined make for a super tender pork chop... enjoy!

German Pork Chops

Ingredients
  • 1 can shredded sour kraut
  • garlic salt, salt, and pepper to taste
  • Morton's Natural Seasoning to taste
  • Mace (just a pinch)
  • 4-6 pork chops
  • 1 onion
  • 2-3 apples
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (will be divided in recipe)

To Prepare

  1. Line the bottom of a pan with sour kraut
  2. Top with pork chops
  3. Sprinkle with all the seasonings and 1/2 cup brown sugar
  4. Slice onion and place slices on pork chops
  5. Quarter apples and place between pork chops
  6. Sprinkle with the rest of the brown sugar (1 cup)
  7. Bake 1 hour or until done at 350 degrees (About halfway through the cooking flip your pork chops. That will make both sides moist and juicy)

I hope your family enjoys German Pork Chops...
