The Season Comes to an End

We had a great time this year going to watch Titan Basketball. The boys were phenomenal and I was sure we would make it all the way to state. Unfortunately they lost in the first round of regional playoffs. What a disappointment? Gadsden City athletics are great, but somehow we can't seem to pull the trigger and win the coveted state title.

One of the last home games was against Hoover. We had promised Morris that him and Miller could go. It was a huge televised game. Gadsden City was ranked #5 and Hoover was ranked #3. To make the match up more interested Gadsden City had already lost a game early in the season to Hoover at a tournament.

Jared and I arrived early for the game and there was not a seat to be had. A sweet lady scooted over for Morris and I to have a place to cheer. When Jared arrived from parking the car, Morris had to sit in our lap the entire time. It didn't matter because the court was rocking. The student section was cheering, the mascot was giving high fives, and the energy was high.

After a long battle, the Titans prevailed in style against the Buccaneers. We had a great time. The highlight of Morris' game was that Jared caught him a "sweat" towel, ha. He loves it. By the end of the game, Morris and Miller were finally able to sit together and have some fun.

It's always great fun to go support our hometown school... GO TITANS!
